In Maryland, we have access to all 3 of the warehouse clubs (Sams, Costco and BJ's). Not interested in Samsclub credit card as Cap one now has that card. Costco is used only for wine and other spirits from their DC store. BJ's has the .10 off advertised price if using their cc. I really dont know what perks the Comenity BJ's MC has other than the .10 off. I cant access their credit web site from either VPN, phone or computer and was also wondering about the CLI growing. Did several searches through my fico and was hit or miss. Does anyone have recent experience growing their CL and what is the cap on the CL for this card?
Thanks in advance for any help provided.
I have one but rarely use it. It's a comenity issued card and I know you can request a CLI, but outside of an occasional trip to the VA location, not using that card that much. I like my Costco card better but hate the lines. BJs is always in and out but they don't have many benefits with the card
I have a BJ's MasterCard and frequent their store in Orange Park, Florida. IMO, their gas is .10-.15 cents higher than Sam's. Then they take the .10 off per gallon and they don't pay cash rewards (which can only be redeemed for a BJ's gift certificate). It's better for me to go to Sam's and pay the price I'd pay at BJ's or even a few cents less -AND- get Cash Rewards on top of my purchase price.
As for CLI, it does grow fast! I was approved for $1,000 with a 620-something credit score 2 years post BK. It was increased to $1,800 per my request maybe 8 months after I opened it. Then they automatically increased it to $2,500. I requested an increase a few months ago and it was increased to $3,800. My current scores are in the 660's (Fico8) and 730's (Vantage 3.0 through Capital One, Mint, and Credit Karma)
Comenity's customer service isn't that great. Neither is it in a BJ's store. And with the exception of a few decent deals, I think BJ's is overpriced compared to Sam's. I'd simply pass on the whole thing.
Hello @Anonymous If you go to the BJs bill pay site through Comenity you will see a Request for increase button. If you click that, it will have a pop up screen for your income, you hit submit and you should automatically see a congratulations your approved or not approved with no hard pull to your credit profile. Hope that helps! Lets us know what happens. 🤗🤗🤗

Synchrony Bank services this card (Sam's club store card/MC), not Cap One. Cap One services the Walmart store card/MC.
