BJ's Credit Card - Wrongful Denial - Shopping Cart Trick

I applied for the BJ's Credit card and I feel as comenity wrongfully denied me. The reconsideration number I found was not very helpful as the woman did not seem to want to know anything. I am an avid shopper at BJ's and since I have a credit history to show that I am responsible and NEVER miss a payment nor do I barrow high amounts against my credit limits.

I have heard of something called the "shopping cart trick" and I am curious if this will work with BJ's.

Also, if ANYONE has a contact to comenity or has anyway to help me obtain this card, please reply or send a message. This card would help me alot and I don't know why comenity is so weird about this.

What were the denial reasons? and why do you consider them "wrongful"?

BJs card is always a hard pull just FYI. No shopping cart trick.

As far as recon, it's comenity. They are not much of a "call and talk to underwriting" type of company. They just aren't in the league of other major issuers where you can discuss things with an analyst. More or less, a decline is a decline with comenity, AFAIK.

Why do you feel you were wrongfully denied, give us more details of your current profile so we can at least give you some opinions i.e. scores, current limit, current debt

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Comenity does not reconsider auto-declined applications.  In the past, this was a rare option for reconsideration.  If it were a verification issue, then that's something separate altogether.  With the recent tightening of their UW for most of their dual-branded CCs, I would highly doubt you'd get far.   You can try reapplying for the card in the future depending on what reasons they cited on the letter.

How do you know it was a denial? Comenity doesn't do "You are not approved" messages.

Both of which are not true. I always pay on time and early.

At this point you need to pull a credit report from EQ which is who Comenity usually uses to see what is going on because something is wrong. Comenity doesn't do a 30 day hold for reapplying so you should be fine.

I still don't see your FICO score! With all do respect to CK, Comenity made that decision based on your FICO score! Unless you know what is your score, is very hard to come up with a reason to why!

My recommendation is to pull your Full FICO score from this site, its about $60 but you'll get everything you need to know about your report and 30 Fico scores! It is not cheap but once in a while to get a complete report per year its not a bad thing!
