Re: BOA Americard decline but question

I got denied the regular card. But, was offered the 99/500 deal. Did you check the status page to see if it is listed on there?

I actually didn't think to check there but I just checked and it says my application is under review.

Re: BOA Americard decline but question

That's a good sign. That means you'll be offered the secured card deal. Normally, it would just say that they're unable to approve your application at this time. You'll receive a letter in the mail. That's what my previous declines were. Good luck!

Re: BOA Americard decline but question

I am in the 700 club with no BofA cards as well. Aside from the fact that they are everywhere they're not needed

The 99$/500 only pertains to people with a BOA savings/checking account also its a $39 fee a year

Re: BOA Americard decline but question

I got offered the 99/500 offer and I had no accounts with them at the time. I accepted it and it graduated early at around 5 months, I had to call in for early graduation though. When it unsecured, they also gave me a $1000 CLI. It's a great card if that's the offer you end up getting.

Re: BOA Americard decline but question

I have an account with BofA and ever since I applied and was told of the counter offer I now have a preselected offer showing when I log into my account. The weird thing is that it says it's a secured card with no deposit required and a $39 annual fee. How is it secured with no deposit?

Re: BOA Americard decline but question

Recently applied and got denied for BankAmericard as well so im in the same boat. The annual fee for the 99/500 card they offered me is $39, which is outragous. My score was 739 from experian when they pulled it, denied due to too many inquiries within the last 12 months and "new" (2 year) credit history. I absoulutely hate how there are no numbers you can call for a recon. The only way to recon is to write them a letter.
