Being one of my oldest account i want my BOA Cash Back to always be in my wallet and i want to go ahead and call BOA to see if i qualify for an apr reduction since its in 18% and my CSP is on 15% (lowest one)
Anyone happened to know the best number to call.. i had saved a number for customer satisfaction something like that but i lost it.
Any help.. is appreciated!
I think the normal interest rates for this credit card is 12.99-22.99. So there should be some room for BoA to lower your interest rate.
Personally, I would login to my account and use the chat feature. If you want to call, I would start with the customer service numbers on the back of the card. I don't think I would start with any of the back door numbers unless I couldn't get help via the normal methods.
I will try that number ! thanks

BoA Rate Reduction department. 866-811-4108 is the number I believe. They will soft pull your report and you can ask every 6 months.
I have done this via the online chat feature a few times and everytime tell me, sorry. If we decide that you can have a lower apr, we will notify you via your statement. Then again, I hear lots of people chat them up and ask for it and receive it. so who knows. i may go ahead and ask them for it since im bored lol. and i have let a few statements cut with a balance for a change. but i always pay them in full.
that makes sense! is it like talking with a credit analyst? income, why so many new cards? why a high balance on a bt card? kinda stuff?

It's easier. They were friendly and just asked why I wanted a lower APR. I said why not, they gave me highest APR and I was tired of shopping for new cards. They asked for income and if I was interested in BT. Then they encouraged me to call every 6 months. They lowered APR permanently 3% the first time.
ok thanks! would saying something like well i have lots of cards with lower apr's but i like the rewards structure with boa cash rewards the best. unfortunately its my highest apr.
and even though i usually pif, i would like to know that i have a lower apr available?

I don't even think I mentioned other cards. I just said I had a positive banking relationship but the high APR was the one sticking point. I'm sure just about anything would work. It's really a simple call, you'll do fine.
