i have between 6-8 HP on each credit reporting agency .
1# Can i still safely app without inq being an issue at all or do i need to wait until some of them fall off?
2# How many should i have fall off before apping.
3# how many do you have to have before you should just close down the apping period? i;m just wondering what that danger zone is?
What kind of apps are they? Are they CC, Auto, mortgage?
Thank you for your reply,
If i do apping it would be for credit cards. 2-3 of my current hp are from CC the others are from auto loans and mortgage loan.

+1
OP how long ago were the HP? Did you get any CC out of them? Denials?
i was accepted for discover and QS1 in november 2014 thats 2 hp and a mortgage pull in october. and no pulls a year prior to those.
Ok, so almost no recent inquiries. The visibility of the INQ declines soon after 6 months, to my understanding.
And, just as important, no indication of issues in apping since the recent apps were successful.
With careful selection, you are fine.
Good luck!
Thank you for taking the time to reply. i appreciate your help.
Who knows as it depends on the lender.........some are ultra conservative and stop considering you when you have a lot of inquiries. Others look at the applicant in entirety and see how they have handled what credit they have and ignore inquiries. I was approved for 25K fm NFCU and a 10K LOC back in December......this month I got 28K CSP....(but I do have a LONG history with Chase) they pulled EX and I have over 50 inq less than 2 yrs old.
Some say lenders look at the previous 6 mos, others say 12 mos......some just look at the total showing. If you have the income and scores I would apply for whatever I wanted and if denied I would then recon. Good Luck

How did you get so many INQ on EX?
thank you for the reply ,
I agree, unfortunately my scores are just okay at this time, my income is doing alright 120k. but i tread carefully due to the fact that i had a BK 2 years ago. Discover was ok with it and i didn't burn any CC in it. maybe i'll just wait for my score to come up a bit and give it a shot later in the year.
