I have a banking relationship with them and didnt go through the standard site, but rathher went into my online banking and clicked on the my special offers page, and then click on credit cards. It showed a range of cards for me. I apped for the travel rewards plat plus card this way and was approved, albeit with a lower limit then I expected. The app had 80% of the info pre filled in, and just asked for income, employer, and current phone numbers if I remember correctly. From what I have seen, there was NO HP - netiher of my credit monitoring apps (TU Or EX through USAA) picked up a hard pull, and they have gotten every other one. The card is showing up on my online banking info already. I think BOA soft pulls it's customers every so often - like cap one does, and then makes their decision based on the soft pull. Like Cap one's cli's.
Your mileage may vary.

From what I have seen BoA is a hard pull everytime and I also have a banking relationship with them for the last 5 years...whether it be for a new card or for a CLI. I hope you get away with no HP but I have a feeling it is coming! Good Luck and Congrats on your new card!!!
No such thing and you didn't get lucky. It is a hardpull and you will see it soon enough
I was expecting it, but it just seemed strange that it didnt materialize. It's been 3 days and its not showing up anywere. I've gotten emails about other HP's literally after submitting the app.... while it was still processing. I guess this is the first time i've had a "delayed" hard pull.
Take care,
George
I seem to get delayed HP notifications if I apply for credit close to the weekend...not sure if the department that reports the inquiries is closed or if it's just something that every lender does differently...

Hard Pull coming to theatres near you. 1 Credit App for admittance.
Just echoing what others have said. I got my Cash Rewards card the same way and the notification on the pull was really late, but is was indeed HP.

+1
And their credit card (and other staff) work 24/7. Nothing gets past them, nothing at all.
Hey! You (OP) may be someone that is in a similar situation like me. I applied for the BoA Better Balance Rewards card 9 months ago and was approved. However, I did not receive a hard pull from them on any credit bureau. I've recently pulled all three of my credit reports 9 (via the AnnualCreditReport website--I also have credit monitoring with the majority of the free websites [CK, WalletHub, etc.)], and there is no hard pull on any of them from Bank of America. Seeing how the account was opened 9 months ago, I am assuming that it will never end up on my credit reports.

Just pointing out here that you replied to (and resurrected) a thread that is over a year old...
