BOA credit limit transfer + applying for visa sig

So I just trasnferred my credit limit from my Better Balance Rewards to my Cash Rewards credit card make it a total of $5,900 now! I asked if I also qualified for the Visa Signature verion of the Cash Rewards program and they said I needed $6,000. Bummer Smiley Sad. So I also asked for a credit limit increase to $8,000 haha. They'll put in a request to change it to a visa siggy once the credit limit increases.

Anyone else have had this experience?

I am guessing they will do a mixture of SP and HP.. so I am going to watch my scores drop a little Smiley Frustrated

I believe that BoA HPs to do a transfer of CL, and a HP for the CLI. I'm not sure if they'd pull a second report for the CLI since they just pulled for a transfer of CL. Let us know if you got 2 HPs or 1.

Interesting. Last year when I asked to switch to Sig 321 from the old 1% only they said the minimum limt was $5k so I asked for that and got the change. Wonder if this is a policy change or profile based.

Seems like they did only 1 HP from TU. I didn't get any other alerts yet. I'll update you guys more when I get more information.

BOA is HP crazy. A great worked in EO told me that after the financial problems they are required to do one for every CLI, new account etc even if all done together and there are no product changes, they are all treated as new accounts.

My DW got her Visa Signature form BoA when she got her limit to 5000 just a little over 3 months ago. Too bad they are saying 6000 now.

My wife has BOA for $5,000 and they are processing to convert over to Sign... They lied with you. Call them again.

Yeah, the previous representative lied. I talked with a new representative and he said my new visa siggy is coming in 2-4 weeks. The conversion did NOT result in a HP. Current limit on the card is $5,900. Didn't even need to be increased to $6,000. Maybe the last representative was new or something.
