Yeah, I meant 1 on each, so I'm not worried about that. If I go for Cap1 (was prequal'd for Plat Prestige, V1 & QS) then I'm going to apply for 2 of them. The PP has no apr until late 2016, but not sure how big of a SL they give. Venture seems to be the biggest but I wasn't PreQual'd for it.
Thanks for the BCE recommendation. I've been tempted to go that route, would love to be in wtih Amex, so I might try. Does applying for multiple products from Amex at the same time use only a single HP?
I also recommend the BCE but the initial limit (at least for me) was not anything near 20K, but usually you can ask for a CLI fairly soon after approval. I believe, and someone correct me if i'm wrong, that the only way to get 2 cards with 1 HP with Amex is if you apply for the charge card and then the regular card right after. If it's 2 revolvers I think you may still get the 2 HP's. Again, don't quote me...
this is correct

Pretty sure Amex caps BT to $10k if even that high.
Chase caps to $15k
I think Barclay started capping at $10k
some others allow 80% of your CL including chase but max of $15k
I don't think Cap1 or Citi have caps but cap1 will for sure go to fraud and you probably won't know unless you are checking daily or catch the call from them.
Good insight CreditAddict. I suppose $200 in interest is still better than $400 (if OP gets 10K).
Gosh I didn't realize nearly every card has balance transfer caps. If this is the case, then OP may have to split the 20k onto 2 separate cards. Do any of you guys know if any of the lenders would make an exception if OP were to call in and explain the amount needed to transfer?

The only one I know that would do something like that is Barclay's but not sure of % rates on their cards as the only one that interested me is Ring and it has no introductory period. Maybe someone can chime in. Barclays' listens...even if they can't help they'll explain why.
Thank you all, good info, didn't even think about the caps. I'm tempted to go for another USAA card, since there's 12-month no interest on affiliate cards and a $200 bt fee cap .. but my highest with them is only $7200 and I doubt I'll get more, even tho my NFCU will be reporting as 22k on the 21st. Probably end up going BCE or Cap1 ...
Another question, I was pre-qual'd @ cap 1 a couple days ago for platinum prestige, V1 and QS, but not venture. Today I checked (higher score) and platinum prestige, which has the longest 0% BT wasn't on the pre-qual... Is it worth attempting for the Venture even though it's not listed? I'll try again after I get the big jump from a 0% util.
EDIT: Change that, Cap1 preapproval is now showing Venture and Quicksilver, no longer the Venture1, QS and Platinum Prestige... that's a good thing I suppose Unfortunately, Venture doesn't have a 0% BT offer .. and both are showing 17.9% (PP was 15.9, V1 was 16.9 and QS was 17.9 yesterday)
You might be able to get a decent limit with the Quicksilver and it's 0% APR for like 9 months. The Prestige as a longer 0% promo period, but I'm not sure how high the limit would be. I would try for both back to back to use the same HP, but do Quicksilver first. Between those 2 cards that may be be enough for your 20k transfer.

PP was longer 0% and lower interest, but like you said I'm not sure about the limits either, might make more sense to go for the VentureOne as the second rather than the PP as long as they can piggyback
That's actually a good idea. I forgot the Venture One has a 0% APR promo too.
Chase is giving good CL's on their co-branded cards . Apply for Chase IHG and Chase Southwest then convert some of those CL's to your Chase Freedom ' I did it last week and made my Chase Freedom $20000 .
Unfortunately, IHG doesn't have a 0% APR promotion, though the 60,000 points looks tempting. I wonder if any of their other affiliate products do.
