Your research and fight has helped me and many others be able to live life again.
Went though a terrible divorce and you guys helped me learn how to live off of credit cards.
Not only have you done that, but you have helped me in knowing what to do in some tuff credit repair situations.
This community is about more than credit. It's about life. Money is about life and credit isabout money.
I just called for a CLI on my Walmart and they took me from $600 to $4000 on a softpull based on wisdom learned here.
A phone number that was posted here.
Now my wisdoms and experiences will be posted here to help the next person that runs into ife's troubles.
P.S. is the DUCK card stil a go here.
Glad to hear it has helped you in your credit journey.
No, please... whatever you do... No Beaver and No Duck cards! Some folks still have them but it's turned out to be more issues than what it's worth for others who had the card (FYI - I closed mine). Seek other options but the Beaver/Duck!
As finstar said, skip the duck and forget about the beaver.
Thank you everyone for contributing to this wonderful thread. I am in the rebuidling phase of my credit after a bk 7 last year. My barclay rewards card of 6 months was declined for a cli increase a couple weeks ago thru the main csr number. After finding this forum and the backdoor number, I called today, spoke with a very professional and friendly person. After reviewing my account, he gave me a cli of $750.00 which has now doubled my available credit to $1,500.00 ! I am very happy. Thanks again !

Congrats! After 6 months have passed, you can call the regular CSR and ask them for an APR reduction. If they transfer you, you can ask the person you are transferred to if a soft pull CLI is available. You'll typically get $1000-$1500 increases. Good luck!
Thanks Cal for the information. I know its not easy rebuilding to a solid credit profile after a bk 7, but reading thru some of the different forums, I know it can be done. I do have a question regarding my capital one journey card. Its been open for a full year now. Starting cli of $ 300.00, after 6months went to $ 500,, and a couple days ago I pressed the auto cli increase and they only gave me another $ 250 cli. Is it worth a try to call cap 1 and try for a larger increase? Or can you only get an increase thru their site ?

The regular C/S # on the back of your Citi card. You can also try the chat feature or the CLI request link online under Account Management.
