which credit card will approve me? I have a score of 550, i have a chapter 7 6 years ago. I just finished paying off all my charge-offs. I tried applying for the ''bad'' credit cards and got rejected. Any suggestions?

I'd recommend making your own thread for this. Not many people are going to see a question asked three pages into a thread on a somewhat different subject than the OP. With that said, I'd try going for a secured card from Cap1, BofA, and/or Discover.

Have you tried for a Discover secured card or Capital One Secured Card? You may have to go the secured route, even if it's just a $200 card for a few months. If you can't get approved for one of those Open Sky has a secured card that doesn't require a credit check. The card doesn't graduate, although a friend of mine has a $200 secured card and at one year they added $100 unsecured to make it a $300 credit limit with $200 secured. It's definitely a starter card
I'd vote againist Cap1 based on their super crappy pretty much non-existant graduation policy. Not sure about Discover of BofA.
I would also suggest the secured route for cards, Cap1, BoA, and Discover.

Oh but they insist that cards do upgrade. I've had mine almost 6 years and nothing...always in good standing...750+ credit scores accross all beureaus. Pay my AF (it had one 6 years ago) and nothing. CSRs insist that with regular usage I should automatically get an offer...sure.
I'd try for a secured card with anyone but Capital One.

Yeah, I agree. Just mentioned Cap1 because it's still an option for getting a card from a repudable bank if Discover doesn't accept you. Out of the three major banks with secured cards, Discover is my personal favorite. They are probably my favorite bank in general, great customer service and just overall great to work with.
If you can get in join NFCU and apply for a secured card with them, it will graduate and they are generous as your credit improves. I also suggest posting in the rebuild forum to get advice on getting your scores up, I started at around 550 a couple of years ago and the folks in the rebuilding area really helped me progress. It takes time because items have to age off but there are things you can do to get yourself 50-60 points fairly quickly.
