Banco Do Brasil Americas Application Question

HI!  Does anyone know if they are no longer taking applications online?  When I click on the How to Apply button it tells me to visit a branch.  Bummer!

Correct. The online application process was removed recently and you'll need to visit a branch to apply.

I hadn’t used my card since July. I tried to use it twice in SanAntonio yesterday and it was declined.

I called in and was told that in August some accounts were suspended for identity verification.

I was asked to go “In Branch”.

Since i’m In Texas, I was asked to send an email asking for direction.

i’ll follow Up on how it turns out

Just used mine roughly a week ago, worked fine. I only use it every two months or so. I saw where they AR'd my EX report recently.

It's the first AR I've seen from them in a year. lol

@woodyman100, I went through the same situation around Labor Day. It appears, from a compliance perspective, they needed to confirm specific elements from the original application related to the Patriot Act. Mine had to do with a mismatch to my mailing address which is a PO Box.

They requested several ID documents (via email) and eventually the account was unrestricted. The whole process took about 2.5 weeks. They were definitely not in a hurry 😁
