I appllied for the BOA custom rewards visa on 6-09-21. The status updates says the application is under review.
Should I call to see what is taking so long our should I just wait 30 days before I called.

Call today, during East Coast business hours. One realistic possibility is that your application was referred for verification that it was really you that applied, and that verification is handled by a group that reports within their fraud division. Turnaround within that group can be pretty slow.
You don't want to wait the 30 days as even if there was a screwup on their part the application would have expired and you would have to reapply (and they would not reuse the hard pull).
If you waited this long and still no decision then I think it wouldn't hurt to see what's holding up the application. My wife went through the same thing with Premium Rewards application and she had to call to push it through. I forgot exactly what the issue was but it was resolved fairly quickly

Application status line. After they provide an update try to get an agent on the phone so they can assist on what is holding up the application

General customer service number and honestly if you're already a cardholder the better option since you can get a representative on the line faster with a pre-existing account and have them transfer you to the right department for your pending app
