How is Bank of America Cash Rewards re/ inquiries that were 13 months ago? Will any of these count? I have 60k in credit and 4.8 years credit history, although AAOA is only 1.8 years. FICO is approx 715 - waiting for it to update.
Income is over 100k. I do have 3 inquiries per report within the last 6 months, but more inquiries from 13 months ago. I know how FICO views this but the banks are a different animal.
Does B of A consider ones that old at all? If AAOA were higher I would not have the same question, but knowing how they feel about older inquiries is critical in terms of deciding whether to apply.
Inquiries within the last 6 months- one each in Jan, Feb, and March 2015. None since.
Also considering applyng for Sportsmans Guide Visa as I have another Comentiy VISA and have read good things about Sportsmans on here. Any insight into whether Comenity is inquiry sensiitve for VISA would really help also. Thanks very much!
My goodness... That username.... Welcome to MyFico.
You should be fine with the inquiries with BOA. Tell us a bit more about your credit profile. What are your scores on TU,EX,EQ? Also, Comenity is not inquiry sensitive at all.. If you really want the card, go for it.
Hi, yes-its-me. Humuhumunukunukuapua'a is the name of a Hawaiian fish. )) Sorry it's long!
EX, EQ and TU are right around 715 or so ( I say that because I have $8,000 in CLI and $1,700 in payments that have not yet updated in my numbers). No negatives.
3 inq. in last 6 months on each report.
More inquiries 13 months ago.
Any insights about applying for Cash Rewards are appreciated. I'd like to apply in July but should I wait until AAOA is right at 2 years? I'm at about 1 yr 7 months now.
Anything special I should do to increase chances of success? If they offer me a partial secured I'm not taking it!
Also - last inquiry was in March on each.
Actually, sorry- a correction. TU and EX have 2 inquiries each for last 6 months. EQ is the one with 3.
I was kidding about username but thanks for the clarification. Ok. Do you mind listing the cards you have and their limits? Any reason why this BOA card?
Other major CC's (incl Barclays) have limits of $5,800, $5,000, $3,000.
and stupid Discover which is stuck at $2,500 - forgot them. Total credit 60k. 17% util.
Sorry for so many posts. I'm new at this. Reasons for this card - don't like Citi, Chase or Amex, and am thinking I have a decent shot at Cash Rewards and Sportsman's Guide. Would like to add two to my profile that I am likely to get accepted for.
Use Barclay's mainly for their cash rewards but would like to add another. I have Cap One but don't wish any more triple pulls.
Have also heard that BOA is decent with CLI's.

Ok.. To get the best answers, you have to be as open as possible as we don't have assess to your credit file hence these questions. What do you mean by this - If they offer me a partial secured I'm not taking it!
Based on what you posted, you look solid for the BOA cash card. But if it cash back you are seeking, there are other cards that surpasses BOA...
