So I currently have the Bank AmeriCard cash rewards credit card. I applied over the weekend while in Bass Pro Shops for their credit card issued through BOA, and got DECLINED!! my experian fico is 732, so I didn't quite understand why. My current credit limit on the cash rewards card is $5000, and I have a zero balance. I called in and was told that the decline reason was that my current credit limit on my one card is sufficient for my spending habits, and that they cannot approve another card. The bass pro shops card would be better for me as I shop their alot and I want the bonus perks for using the card their. I started a chat conversation to have my account product transferred from the cash rewards card to the bass pro card. The rep stated that the terms on both the cards are the same, and that the only difference is the rewards program, and that I can do that no problem but I would have to call in to have it taken care of. I called in, and the first rep tells me the same thing that it can be done no problem, and told me to hang on while she is working on my request. She said there will be some silence, but she is still there she is just working on my request. All of a sudden she transfers me without saying anything, and I get someone else. The third girl I talked to said that I would have to switch to any of the bank of america cards such as the travel rewards or the BBR, but that I couldn't product transfer to the bass pro card, or any of the other infinity cards like the MLB card, or spirit air, or Norwegian, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this or know if this is actually the correct information ? If it is the correct information anyone know a way to try to get that decision overturned ? Any ideas is greatly appreciated!!

Since you applied for the Bass card already, ask them about moving some CL from the existing or All of it to Bass and opening it.
You can't PC regular BofA cards to Co-Branded Cards and the first 2 reps were wrong and clearly the 2nd couldn't do it so she just transferred you like an A-hole instead of admitting the error.
OP - hopefully the UW department can split your current exposure so that you can get the approval for Bass Pro and use the previous HP. Otherwise, as Creditaddict mentioned above, they will not be able to PC. Two totally separate BOA family rewards structures.
Close BOA acct.
Take business to Chase.
Shop at Cabela's, Sportsman's Guide or Gander Mtn.
Or just buy Bass Pro gift cards with your new Chase accct.
Too much trouble and still wouldn't get rewards....then there isn't an easy solution in your favor.
Well I sent out an e-mail to bank of america's executive office today. I will wait to see what kind of response I receive if any!!
So...I sent an e-mail to the president of Bank of America thinking that they will have an executive customer service team that will be contacting me...boy was I really not surprised that they outsource this stuff to a third party. I get an email today from Enterprise customer care resolution on behalf of Bank of America. This goes to show you just how much they actually care about their customers. I received the email for a girl named Vanessa. I will leave the last name out for privacy reasons. Only 15 seconds after I got the email I called her, and of course rings four times and goes to voice mail, so I left a message. This was around 10am. I called back four times throughout the day, and never got an answer. I also never received a call back and it stated they were open until 7pm. Bank of America should try to fix their problems because when you have so many complaints coming to the executive office that you have to hire a 3rd party company to help out you have some big issues!

Makes me glad I canceled my one and only BOA card !
OK well I have some good news....I have yet to hear back from the lady from the 3rd party company, however, today someone from Bank of America actually called me and told me that they could not do the product transfer, but since I have been a great customer they are going to Approve me for a $5000 credit line on the Bass Pro card, and are going to rush the card so I can receive it in the next couple days. On top of that they are going to send me a $100 gift card for Bass Pro Shops for my trouble. Even though this was a crappy situation is was nice to see that someone was actually listening, and did something to make it right for a change.
