Barclay Apple Card fail

I've been preparing for a spree, waiting to get to 700.  I'm pretty close so tonight I thought I'd give one a shot.  Applied for Apple card online and got the 7-10 days message.  Smiley Sad

At least it wasn't a flat out denial. Call to see what is the issue regarding the 7 day msg.

Called this morning for a recon, the CSR said it was declined due to a charge off, and that they didn't actually pull my credit file (which could be true as I didn't get any inquiry alerts).  I asked if she could give me any more infomation about it and she said it was sold to a collection company in 2011.  I have no idea what this is.  I did a ch7 in early 2010 but don't believe I had anything that was barclay.  She said that was all the info she could give me.  Not sure what to do now.

I would just avoid them if you didn't get hit by a HP in my opinion since obviously it sounds like you must of have some kinda bad relationship with them.. Give it some more time and time tends to typically heal..

Well since I felt like I already opened Pandora's box, I went forward with the app spree. 

 

Apps submitted : AMEX ED, Venture, Amazon, BofA Visa, AMEX SPG

 

Approved for AMEX ED 5.5k, Venture 10k, Amazon 400

 

Denined BofA Visa, AMEX SPG Pending!  I might try Nordstom this weekend and then get in the garden.  Barclay can suck one.
