Barclay Auto cli review

I've been calling some of my credit card companies to see about getting cli's without a HP.

I had luck with Citizen's Bank and FNBO and then tried Barclays.

I have a Cash Forward card with them with a 9K CL that has been stagnant for 2 years with little spend every few months.

I just recently pushed 3K through it and then paid it off in 4 large spread out payments in preperation of asking for a cli.

With my Fico8 scores right around 800 (Fico9 scores 800+), my UTI <5% and this recent spend through them I figured it was time to try my luck. No joy on having an offer or getting a SP cli...

The rep did say that he will put me on a list of customers to review for future offers...

I've never heard of that and was wondering if anyone here has...?

I've heard of no such thing to be honest.  There was a time when Barclays used to have the SP CLI and standard APR reduction offers but those have long disappeared.  That said, auto-CLIs still happen but they're not as frequent IME.  I actually was surprised to receive one on my Lufthansa Miles & More card last week since I haven't used it in months 🤷

The last time I heard of them doing retention offers of SP CLI and/or APR reduction was in 2017. Though they might very rarely still be doing it albeit auto and not customer initiated but I wouldn't hold my breath on it.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing.

I think I will call again tomorrow and ask another CSR if they could put me on "The review account list"

Sounds like a Barclays " this guy/gal " poked our bear list.  Keep an eye peeled for future cld / closure ....JK  or maybe not

I talked them into a softpull CLI last year but it was like taking food away from a bear.
