Every other time I've ever applied, I've always been denied. I have a BoA with a $4500 limit, Chase, Cap One, but they always denied me. I applied a couple days ago but got the message my application is under review. So that's a first for me getting that. Should I just let it play out or call a backdoor number?

get on the phone.
could be just verification.
good luck!
I agree, call them. I got the same message, assumed it was declined, called and reconned. I got a small SL of $500, but it got me in the door.
I actually finally just called the backdoor and the guy was actually an *****. All the very personal questions, did my best explaining and I'm like dude, BoA gave me a $4500 limit, I have high limits on other cards, and he's telling me my credit is too new, I have too many new accounts, and I'm like do you see my payment history? Do you see high balances? I have barely 10% utilization. And he just kept adding excuses. That's what I don't like about that is it's basically here for a 20something kid deciding whether or not to grant you credit. Yes, I got as personal as knowing his age. He sort of snickered when I told him my birthdate. Eh, I don't need Barclays. Happy enough with the prime cards I have. I don't need 10 major cards with $20k limits. I 've always paid mainly cash and I keep it that way. I'm able to afford to do that luckily. I'd rather have accounts with hundreds of thousands available in cash than the same amount in credit. I love when they ask why you don't have a mortgage or car payment. Once again, that's not really relevant to you giving me $1k credit line. My house is paid. My car is paid. I don't need that just to show someone else what I can do. I have no need. But my job thank goodness let's me do that.
What's your average age of accounts? How many new have you opened recently?
