Have you ever had fraud on a credit card, even if by another lender? Or have a fraud alert on credit reports? Those are other possibilities.
I've never had Barclay ask me to verify anything on any of the 3 cards I've had with them, including my recent Ring application. Sorry you had this hassle.
Same address however TU and EQ have my daughters address on file for me for some reason. I have lived at my address and used my PO box over 20 years. I have utility and DL info to prove it. This could be a factor.
Using a PO Box (regardless of how long you have used it) and having different addresses on TU and EQ that are not your own could definitely cause this. I have a feeling it is related to those issues.

The addresses they have are variations of my address (street vs post office box). Some numbers are transposed, etc. The other address that comes up is my daughters address in a place 50 miles from where I live. I am going to get in touch with the bureaus and try to get it corrected. EX is reporting the correct information. TU is the craziest variation. It has the right numbers in the wrong order such as EXAMPLE 123 Bx; Box 123 PO; 3 PO12. Stuff like that as well as my daughters address listed as one of my previous addresses. EQ has my daughters address as my address first and my actual PO address as a previous address.
These things should be easily corrected by requesting the bureaus to update their records with the correct info. I will send some supporting documents such as DL and UT bills with the correct address to back up the correction request. Since it's not really a dispute they might go ahead and do it timely.
I am not in a huge rush as I am not applying for anything else right now that this issue could cause a red flag. Hopefully Barclay can make a decision and let me know. This process is like waiting on test results from a hospital.
Good luck OP and I hope you get approved. That's a lot of trouble to go through for a credit card. I would have told them to shove it once they asked to send documents. No credit card is worth all that.

You have a point. Everytime I get to the "Let It Go Louie" stage they send something that gives a glimmer of hope. If they deny me they will be at the top of my S--- list forever. I really hate the idea of my info somewhere for nothing.
