If you decide to get buttons made, can I have one?
I tried sometime around Jan
My score was very similar to you. No. of inquiries was high as I was bulding Credits, looking for Auto Loan. Acquired around 6 / 7 Cards.
Denied for the same reasons.
Too many inquiries.
Too many recent account opened.
Tried recon and Failed. What the UW told me that they follow 5/24 rule and very very sensative to new inquiries.
I will not try it for sometime. And my advice to look for somewhere else once your score goes up to 700. Even looking at their Card benefits (except the Apple finance Card) - I think you can try others with better benefits. Your chances of approval will be much better with others compare to Barclay or Chase. Do not waste a HP.
Condolences on the failed app. Barclays is known to be not just inquiry-sensitive, but very jealous. I've heard of them hitting people who get one of their cards and then go out and get one or two more from different issuers with AA. And speaking of AA, Barclays is infamous for having a hair-trigger for CLD's or outright closure. As I'm looking at replacing my iPhone next year, I'm just as glad that the Apple Rewards Visa is moving to Goldman Sachs.

Exactly!!!! Thanks everyone. I needed that reality check!
Lol, I hear you. On the same boat. Once your credit becomes good it’s addicting to get new credit.
