It's all good. After thinking it, I probably should have applied for something basic first like a Walmart card or the Discover IT since they like to send me stuff in the mail. I'm just going to wait a few months after I make some payments on the FU card before I try to apply for it.
Just keep in mind, Discover is phenomenal and far from basic. Better than Barclay in every aspect.
I've read a lot of good reviews about the Discover IT card the past two weeks. I probably should have apped with them when they were sending me all those offers in the mail back in the fall. During that time, all I had was the AU on the Freedom with making on time payments and my scores were increasing due to old student loans being taken off my report. When I did the prequalified app on the site twice it said I prequalify for the cash back card. But at the same time, I also read that their prequalified site is less than reliable. So, I don't think I want to take the chance to apply and add another HP to my report.
Just a quick update on this, I decided to be brave and did one last app and this time I went for one that suits my scores and credit history. Got approved for the Capital One Platinum card! I'll post more info on the Credit Card Approval thread tomorrow.

On the site, it just gave me a range for the APR rather than a set percentage. I don't remember if the ones in the mail gave me a specific APR. I threw away the paperwork after a month deciding that I wasn't ready to apply at the time.
I had a full apr range on the prequal site and I never received mailers.
My approval was my credit Christmas present 🎁!
