It will most definitely look better on your report when applying for new credit. Might even raise your score a bit. Others that will fall off in a year, I say leave alone. Just not worth it.
What others that will fall off in a year?
All my lates are from 2012-2013
Call and try to recon the 7-10 day message. Give it a shot and see. You took the HP for it already.
Then I would pay all of them. It will make a big difference from their point of view.
IMO, anyting less than a year old, the heck with unless you're going for a mtg. Then it's up to what they want. It will look much better to show all of them PIF. They know you're serious about your credit. ![]()

Yeah looking for the number now then going to call, can't hurt me any more at this point
Does anyone have the 24/7 Barclay recon number? I tried one number and says they're currently closed..
These are all the numbers I took from this site:
Barclays: 888-232-0780 (Customer Care)
Barclays: 866-408-4064 (Credit Analyst)
Barclays 866-951-1437 ( 24/7 Underwriting Dept)- jsucool
Barclays: 18776831400 (Security Dept)
Ya, I called the Credit Analyst already, I heard the underwriter line might be useful?
That's what they say. I want a Ring but have to wait 15 months.
Application was denied.
Tried a recon, but they said I don't have an established enough credit card history.
They were okay with the chargeoff as I explained myself.
Was very honest, they loved the honesty when explaining my chargeoff.
They also said it was from 2012, which checking my reports I just purchased two nights ago from myFICO, it wasn't in CO status until late 2013.. Maybe they meant when I opened the account?
Asked, and they said the only reason was because my CapOne cards (only current cards I have) are only 2 months and 7 months old.
I asked how long would be expected for an approved applicant, and they said no specific amount of time, just as long as I feel is ready (aka not enough yet).
I also have ~10 months of employment in my profession. They said they typically like to see 3 years at least, but they were able to look past that.
Asked a lot of questions about prior employment, my education, etc.
The woman was very nice. Very helpful, friendly, and gave me a good image of Barclays (still).
I called the underwriter's 24/7 line.
Don't think I'll reapply for Barclays at all as I think when I'll be out of the garden again I'll want to apply for much better cards.
I probably won't leave the garden until both my CO and collection are paid, and I'm sitting over 700's across the board (or, at least 690).
