Re: Barclaycard Rewards MC Approval Odds?

Yeah sounds like the main thing was your average age of accounts. I know Barclaycard is very INQ and new account sensitive, which is why I was thinking about applying, but after reading up on it, figured it would be better to just garden garden garden, and then apply for the ring when my aaoa and scores are good enough

My AAoA is 3Y, 7M. Not that low..

Stinks because I've seen people on these forums get recon'ed with a lower score and a month less of CC history..

They didn't even care about my 30/60/90/120 lates at all!

Oh well, to the garden I go.. Hopefully I can hold out until October and apply for my Venture or something

Don't be discouraged. I almost guarantee if you try back in less than 6 months you will get approved. When I got approved I was only 6 months into positive rebuilding. AAoA is like 3 years, oldest being 8 years old as an AU, 3x CO, 1 30day, 7+ INQ's. Only had 3 capone cards and a credit one. My highest limit at the time was a $2k capone. Just like they told you, they like to see positive history but from what you're telling me, 7 months of new good history should've stood out to them. But then again, it could be your time at your job.

Good luck in the future!
