Today I applied for the Jetblue Plus and at the end of the application it stated it was up for review. i called the backdoor number for barclays and I got this rerepresnetative telling me I have to send income verification AKA form 4506T from the IRS. They can take their business somewhere else, Im not letting anybody look at my finances ever again after discover. What a waste....
@Velar_nyc19 Tooo many other options to deal with the bs.
I think Disco relies too heavily on whatever Equifax supplies. I don't know that for sure but dp's as far as any old or recent applications with income variances would be interesting. (Any takers?)

I noticed you edited your long post, there's already a separate discussion for Discover 4506T 😉. This one was posted regarding the Barclays request. Citi, AmEx, Capital One + others are known to request these docs from time to time.

@FinStar I haven't had time to reply but just a quick remark on my phone.
Anyway, sure it was a long post about Disco and I got a mod-cut so I removed what was not TOS, plus the confusion as I worded it, as not everyone remembers OP going through the Disco 4506-T request.
and what I was getting at was that perhaps when any previous apps in the past (with any bank) may have had different income stated on any past app that that could trigger a red flag. (somehow linked to Eq and form 4506-T)
Not sure, but once a previous 4506-t has been submitted it could be a causative, lingering factor perhaps? Just wondering if anyone, including OP has had changes in income and reported since filling out the first 4506-T.
Thanks for expanding on that and the update @GApeachy You're correct, the OP had a 4506-T instance with Discover and they had questions about applying for the JetBlue card about a year or so ago. The OP also had questions about the $1K SL on their approved Delta Gold AmEx, IIRC.
@FinStar I still wonder about EQ and the recipient of the 4506-T. Like can they view other applications and what is stated on income? Do other banks (FI) report stated income from fresh apps?(namely EQ) I always wondered about that and if that could be the case for hourly employees and peeps that have had a significant change in income/job position. Just what prompts the request.

Doubtful.
Remember that Equifax owns The Work Number that many companies (my employer happens to be one of them) report wages and which provide wage information to validated subscribers, and beyond that there's a wealth of demographic information that allows subscribers of that data to pretty accurately predict income based upon job description/job title and where you live. That same information is also used by employers to confirm validate current market rates when determining the pay ranges for their different job titles.

Barclays pulled EX for me, not EQ and to your question, no, I havent stated different incomes in my apps.
