Id go for rewards unless you are a diehard apple personI love my Apple Rewards card because I am a diehard Mac fan. Plus I can get the 0% APR promotional rate re-applied over and over. The 0% offers from other lenders are random at best, after promo APR's expire.
And to the OP, for what it's worth: At the advice of these forums, I app'd the Apple Rewards and standard Rewards cards on the same day.I was only approved for the Apple Rewards.
+1 Apple card is a keeper for sure. ![]()

I was approved for both with a bk reporting in early 2014. Tu 650. Apple 750< recon to 2k
SM instant approval too but 3 months apart, instant 1k approval. Called over the course of several days and had the limit increased by different CSRs to 2500. Both at highest apr's though. Barclays liked me when I had less than 8 credit cards, now I fly a little under their radar hopefully lol.
Was the CLI a hp?
Just called Barclays reconsideration again ask for $1000. Nice guy went over report with me, and approved it! Now wish I would've asked for more... Lol
Used same report...

Today Barclay and synchrony has been great to me. 2 months old walmart card $150 starting limit went up to $3500 in 3 chat CLI's on the same day
2 months old amazon with $800 starting limit went up to $3500 in 3 chat CLI's.
But my morning started with Barclay. 3 am applied online and was denied for rewards card. Called around 9am for recon and after 2 minutes, $1000 SCL. Very happy. First real, unsecure CC. In the evening, after the Walmart and Amazon CLI's, i decided to go for Barclays AppleRewards card. Online application and an instant approval with $2K SCL
I can not be happier. That's almost $10K additional credit line, for a rebuilder like me, i should go buy a lottery ticket ![]()
Barclay recon was very easy. asked me about too many recent store cards, 14 to be exact, and i told him they were all soft pulls with low limits and i added them to have some trade lines and help with my utilization. I said i could not even use them if i wanted to, besides 2, buckle and express, because they are all lady's stores. He laughed. Then asked me about a $3K installment loan i opened with wells fargo in june, and what i did with the money. I told him it was to add an installment loan to my CR, to have variety of credit lines, and the money i borrowed went to savings, because i did not need the money but the credit line. He said even though my past is very short and most accounts are new, my almost 1 year old $2500 wells fargo secure cc, and 4 months old $2500 Capital one secure cc is showing 0 balance, and i told him i pay it off every month.
He said you look like you know what you are doing, and you are on the right path, so i will approve for today for $1K. I was sooo happy. Make sure you call recon line and talk to them. especially since you have the HP as well, go for it, nothing to lose. And Good Luck!

Congratulations.
If you use the card a lot and keep paying it down pre-statement cut, keeping average balance to 35% or less, they will probably give you auto CLI at 6 mos.

I love my Apple Rewads, too! I have several Apple purchases in my future and I love the Apple cash cards I get with my spend.

Two Barclay apps are almost NEVER approved at the same time. I am suprised someone even suggested doing that.
The Apple card surely has its place, but more niche than the Rewards of course.
Actually they do. Last thursday 3 am i applied for the rewards card and got denied, called for recon in the morning and got approved for $1K. Later in the evening my guts told me to apply for the Apple card too. I had called for a CLI after i got approved for the rewards card, and was denied, so i thought they will never give me a second card when they would not even raise the sl on the card i was just approved, but then decided to give it a try anyway. 30 Seconds later i was approved for the Apple card with a starting limit of $2K
For somenoe in my position, a rebuilder with several good accounts but a short history, i was shocked! But yeah it did happen...!

Good point on the double app. I tried the new Barc Pre Qual site the other day, and got the Congrats accept now. Little skittish, because it seems they nver give out instant aprovals.

Barclays Reward in the morning with $1K SL and Apple in the evening with $2K SL. I must have gotten really lucky.
