I joined becu a month ago with no problem even with being on east coast. I applied for a credit card about a week ago. I got conditionally approved for 19.5k. Today I got a request for last 2 pay stubs. Anyone else get that request? I'm actually self employed so I have no pay stubs. I have 800 fico and put down 98000 legit income off of my 2018 taxes. I dont remember 100%, but would have checked the self-employed box if there was one. I have 5 cards with more than the 19.5 k limit they're offering so I don't get the poi. Never been asked for that on a credit card application. Any thoughts? Thanks
I was never asked for paystubs.
I would think you could provide your tax return to prove your income . I would just call them and ask .

+1 or if you don't mind providing banking statements showing where the income is coming from is good as well I would think if providing tax records is not palatable to you
I was not asked for POI either, but it wouldn't mean that it's not in the realm of possibility for BECU (or any lender/CU) to request it during the course of manual review.
As suggested, it's best to contact them to explain your situation or see what options are available.
Good luck with whatever you decide
You may want to call them and ask if there is an acceptable alternative to pay stubs if you want this card.
The application wont be finalized unless they get what they want/need.
+4 on calling to see if there are other options.
One sentence only?
Apocalypse scheduled for 7:00 pm.
In my experience BECU will not take alternative means. Last two years of tax returns for self employed is what they ask for. Just call them. Tell you them you don't have 2019 yet. They might work with you.
Thanks for the replies. I don't mind giving them my tax returns so I'll call them and offer them.
