Best Direction to move in with applications for new credit.

I am curious which direction to go in for a new line of credit.

I have been looking at the Discover IT card as an option to add new credit, and I was wondering what the chances of getting approved look like.

I also have a double cash pre-selection that I may go with instead, or in addition to.

My scores TU-688 EQ-656 EX-659

I have about 30k in credit, however some of that is because of Comenity bank which doesn't really give me accessible credit.

I have a clean TU, however I have some other accounts reaching the 7 year mark over the next 2-5 months with EQ and EX.  EE didn't work with the bureaus on those accounts...sadly.

Does anyone have any idea if there is a possibility of getting either of the above cards? Is there one that is truly better?  I know that Discover can be CLI friendly, and the interests me as I build/garden my credit.

OP - did you say your EQ is clean? I would think you might have a good shoot with Discover with a clean EQ and not a lot of cards. Discover tends to like people with some history but a not a slew of cards. I think you might have a good chance at maybe a $1,000.00 CL.

Sadly it's my TU that is clean.  Oddly, my EQ has excluded my old CC charge offs, but still shows the collections associated with that same account.
