NFCU 2nd Recon question

I was originally denied for a cash rewards card, reconned it and denied again.  They cited my recent bankrtupcy as the reason for denial.  I've send a second, more detailed recon message in hopes I can convince someone to change their minds.

My question is, has anyone ever had a recent BKR on their report, reconned NFCU and had a successful result or do I just need to suck it up and realize I'm not getting in with them unless I go secured?

If secured, what's the soonest they start to gradute their cards?  I had heard 5-6 months, but wasn't sure if that was correct.

Strangely enough, I actually was approved for a card from PenFed.  I originally applied for the rewards card and was denied so I app'd for the Promise card.  They approved me for $1k!  Fairly small limit, but given the circumstances, I'm grateful for the approval at all.

@Anonymous

I merged the thread you started in Rebuilding to this existing one.  Both deal with your NFCU denial and recon attempts so there is no need for a second thread.
