As some may have read im interested in a new card. coming to the decision i needed the Chase Marriots rewards, i went ahead and filled out the whole application.
coming to the last page to click submit i went ahead as i was about to click it i tought on my AAOA and my recent inq, and didnt pull the trigger.
making the story short... self control is possible but very hard!

You have CSP and Freedom, other than the sign on bonus there is really no need for the card. Keep what you have and by looking at your siggy you already have the best reward cards on the market.
I'm prequalified for CSP and Freedom but I use Venture and Discover combo for my rewards and Amex Plat for travel perks. So I would not use additional cards if I had them. Churning can create problems by having too many cards and limit CLI for the cards that you do use. Ask yourself, how much credit limit do you really need? By not pulling the trigger I think you answered it yourself.
Soooo easy to manage just three.
I'll probably end up with 3-4 prime cards plus Care Credit which will be more than enough. Chase Freedom for 5% categories, CSP for dining and travel plus the Freedom/CSP combo, BCP for Groceries and Gas, Citi Double Cash for non-category spending/utilities.

That's a good plan. You are absolutely correct about thinking about your spending and which cards give you the best reward bang for your dollar.
I use discover for their 5% calendar, Venture 2% for everything else and Amex Plat for their travel perks. I travel a lot so I don't mind travel rewards. Thinking of BCP to match my Amex Plat. Prequalified for Freedom and CSP wouldn't use them, because I like Venture and Discover. I'm keeping my credit card usage to three Companies and nooooo store cards. This works me.
Good luck!
Good stuff!
