Black list Amex Authorized user?

I am black listed from Amex...and never paid them back years and years ago..like 2003 ish..my question is if I become a authorized user on my dads card trying to get back in Amex good graces...would they add that old debt to my new potential authorizer card/or my dads credit card?

No, they won't add the balance, they just won't let you become an AU. There are workarounds, but once Amex figures out who you are, they cut you off. If you can become an AU, you're probably in the gray area of being off, or about to be off, the blacklist.

If ur still blacklisted u will not become an AU.
If you are APPROVED as an AU that men’s ur off the list and after ur an AU for like 6 months - try the pre qualifiers

You can be an au while still being blacklisted, just not likely, but there are people here who are.

Re: Black list Amex Authorized user?

I’m one of those blacklisted and an AU. I’m AU on DH’s BCE. They wouldn’t approve me until after DH paid his first statement. I’ve had the card over a year now.

They will not approve me as an AU on his Platinum, which is a bummer.
