Bloomingdales Amex CLI grrrr

Well we opened our accounts on May 26. SL 2500 for each of us. Every time I tried for dh I get the call message . I was about to give up but then today it allowed me to request it. I thought yes finally , but nope got the 7-10 message 😡so this card I don't expect any growth let alone the growth like macys😞

Now mine just says service not available 😡 I think I am done with the CLIs for this particular card.

@Jnbmom  do you think it would be better to dumb one of them?  I was wondering this....either let Macy's go or Bloomie's go.  I'm not seeing the big deal cli's like I thought would happen but also after reading what @AverageJoesCredit stated about total cl exposure with Citi is making me think I need to dumb something?  Whatcha think Sistah?  I'm just tagging along with the rest of you.Smiley LOL

Yes I am thinking the same thing . Since Macy's cards grow so much faster , I think I will stick with them as that  card that will grow .

Sounds about right.  I don't ever recall seeing anybody anywhere reporting a successful reallocation across Citi Retail Services cards (Sears, Macys, Bloomingdales, Best Buy, etc) even when they're co-branded Mastercards or AMEX and not store cards.

@coldfusion  Yeah, I never read that either but thought I'd ask.  I did close my Diamond Preferred and I think that helped getting an early(?- before 60 days) cli on my Bloomies Amex.

@Jnbmom  so are you thinking about closing one or just sd'ing it?  Also, what about DH's? Close or sd?

Sorry @Jnbmom , Takes a lot of patience to get a CLI on Bloomie's.

They do eventually give them though.

Re: Bloomingdales Amex CLI grrrr

Imo one should pick either Bloomies OR Macys. If you dont shop at them alot but want padding , Macys. Ive never truely understood the lure of trying to get both super high. Indeed keep exposure in mind because although it seems retail doesnt care, you may find cli much more difficult on a legacy card.

I think for now just SD them for awhile , try at 6 months and see where it goes. We really don't have much exposure with citi, only Macy cards and dh has Home Depot. I closed my simplicity a while back .
