BoA CLI Bureau Datapoints?

Anyone know what Credit Bureau Bank of America pulls for their CLI?

I had one CLI and they pulled Transunion. Wanted to confirm that they will pull the same one in case I decide to do a second CLI.

Thanks!

Re: BoA CLI Bureau Datapoints?

It has always been TU for me. It's EX if I app for a new card first. And then do the CLI request.

Ahh okay, thanks.

I called them last month and they said they could pull EQ, TU or both but mentioned nothing about EX which makes me happy because that's the report I'm trying to lower inquiries on.

Also, on a random note,

Gmood1 I see you have the Chase Hyatt, how useful and valuable do you find that card? Does the free night each year feel worth it?

Thx

Re: BoA CLI Bureau Datapoints?

Oh yes ! I've probably gotten more freebies out of the IHG than any of the other Chase cards I have. Grab it on the 80,0000 points promo. Depending on the room, that could be 5 to 8 free nights.
Not including the bonus night once a year.

I liked the Hyatt more when they offered two nights at any of their hotels in the world. That promo is no longer available sadly.

Will do!!

Also, what are your thoughts on the Amex Hilton HHonors? Useless points or decent value? I've heard several opinions on the card and some say the "cash n points" option are most valuable at Hilton stays

Re: BoA CLI Bureau Datapoints?

I haven't used it for hotel stays as yet. It's got 83,000 points sitting on it now. They don't seem very valuable. It is a no AF card though.
From my research I believe you are correct!

Re: BoA CLI Bureau Datapoints?

Man I just hate how they don't have a preference. I'm also in California and I did an in-branch CLI where the banker called a credit analyst and they pulled Transunion. I tried calling yesterday but the CSR said they don't necessarily prefer one bureau to another and they won't know which is pulled until after the request has been initiated.

Bugs me because I have 5 inquiries on Experian and don't want any more for now. I'm not going to risk it until some of those inquiries fall off.

@916networktech When they pulled EX, where you applying for a new card then asking for CLI or just asking via the online tool?

Sorry, but your experience isn’t a relevant data point. You applied for a new card (Alaska Air Visa), which is known to generate an Experian HP. A customer-initiated BoA CLI will result in a Transunion HP, which is what OP was asking about.
