BoA CLI, how long should I wait to ask?

Since I am still rebuilding, I got the BoA card at the end of December 2014. They gave me a $1,000 limit. I've noticed that's pretty standard with them. I keep using it

and paying it off. How long should I wait before asking? Would they match the limits on one of my higher limit cards from another bank? Do they ever auto CLI ? Thanks! I truly love all of you people here and this forum. You are the reason I'm able to finally feel like a real person with credit again. ;-)

IMO, there is no auto CLI from BOFA.

if you request CLI via online/phone, its going to be another HP.

They will HP your TU but if you have been using the card it's probably worth it... ask for $5k and take a counter but like I said if you are using it I would push for them to be your highest CL or possibly you will use someone else!

$10k if you're going to use a HP. Otherwise, just wait for a possible auto-cli if you're using it to the max and paying it off, it's bound to happen in the 6month or 1 year interval.. just have to be patient. Best of luck! Smiley Happy

Re: BoA CLI, how long should I wait to ask?

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I have $1,000 now and I asked low, I asked for a $3500 limit. It's fine for me now. I'd rather go gradually. They approved my $3,500 request, so I'm happy for that. Yes, I could have asked for more, but I won't use even $1,000 of it anyway. It's sure nice to have. I am an AU on my mom's Discover and CitiCard. Those have limits of almost $10k and I'm the only one who uses those. My mom uses Her Amex and Wells Fargo and they each have $25k on them and she barely uses that. I'll build slowly. My goal is to up everything I can to the max at the end of the year, holiday time. They seem to be very generous then.
