BoA Cash Rewards Pre-Qualification on a thin file no FICO score?

So i'm curious what this actually means? Being bored since it was a SP was curious what they'd say. It seems like without a fico score and thin file they wouldn't even bother to Pre-Qualify me but somehow they are?

Curious what this actually means?

Currently planning gardening until December 2021 when all HPs drop. Perhaps a bit extreme but want more history before applying again.

Don't fall for the BoA pre-qualifications, it's all just marketing. You could put your dogs name with some random information and still get "pre-qualified"

That's nice to know...

So do they actually do a SP or is just whatever sounds nice?

I just pulled my Experian report to check and they did actually soft pull back on September 5th when I tried it out. So they actually do it but they still just show you a recommendation of cards after that, so you may or may not be approved. There's many posts on here with people thinking it's a solid offer and still got denied.
