If anyone is still reading this, would be a huge mistake to apply for the Customized Cash Rewards card right now? I really want it. Part of why I opened these accounts in order to establish a relationship with them was for this card. But with the checking account being in review, I'm worried that has just muddied the waters too much. I have a Lending Club loan and 3 new cards (Amazon Prime Rewards Signature Visa, SavorOne, and Penfed Power Cash Rewards) that are all going to hit my reports soon. So I'm torn on whether to apply now, or wait a while. It would be nice to be earning 3% on online shopping (which I do quite a bit) in the meantime AND be letting my accounts all age together, rather than waiting. But....
Same problem, I know I should garden but the card is so pretty lol. And I want gas 3% for next month. Pity BA pulls Experian, my TU score is higher. Have no relationship(in fact closed accts some years ago), so 3/12 rule applies?
In matters like this patience is very much a big virtue.

Yes.

Yeah me too. My Experian 8 is 713, but my TU 8 is 771. Our camper loan isn't reporting to EX and a 30 day late was removed from TU (long story) but not EX or EQ still. So across all 3 bureaus, there's quite a range to my scores. I'd feel a lot more confident in applying if they were gonna pull TU. Or even my EX Bankcard 9 (759) or EX Bankcard 2 (762)...or even the Bankcard 8 is higher (721). Heck, pretty much any of my scores are better than my EX FICO 8. lol
Just noticed this got moved out of the original post for more exposure. (Thank you to whomever did that for me!) So, I suppose I should give some more DP's in this case. Here's my Experian info since from what I can gather, they'd likely pull the EX 8 or 9 (but IDK if that's the general 8 or 9, or the Bankcard 8 or Bankcard 9)....
8 is 713, 9 is 753, Bankcard 2 is 762, Bankcard 3 is 723, Bankcard 8 is 721, Bankcard 9 is 759. I have 5 inquires in the past 24 months, 3 of which were in the past year, and 2 of which were in the past month. Those 2 are the biggest thing giving me pause really. My AAoA is 3y4m, and my newest account is only 2 months old (an Ultamate Rewards MC, with $16 reported out of a $2k CL). Other open accounts are a CreditOne card with $9 reported ($700 CL) , a Kohl's card with $0 reported ($1500 CL), a Discover It with $1500 reporting ($17,200 CL), and a car loan reporting $26k out of $35k. One 30 day late from July 2017 is reporting, but no other blemishes exist (and that was due to a system error). Our household income recently more than doubled due to my fiance's career, and my own is also about to get a very significant bump. So I'm not sure what to list as income...my current personal income of only $42k, just my current plus his retirement, or my current plus his retirement and new employment, or my current plus his retirement, new employment, and business income, or my near future income plus his retirement, employment, and business income. Easiest thing to prove if asked for POI is my current employment plus just his retirement (via pay stubs), so I'm inclined to do whatever is easiest in that way.
@Tapdnsr25 - yes, that portion of your post was moved here (with a link to the original for background) so that the community can provide you more specific advice on the BoA credit card application. This way, both topics can leverage their respective DPs (and updates) in order to avoid getting lost in the mix.
Thanks, @FinStar!
I decided to take a chance (which is actually unlike me), so all my new accounts and inquiries, could age some before (if) we make any major purchases later in the year, but I was instantly denied. Not even a 7-10 day message.
Going off to lick my wounds in the garden now.
Sorry to hear about the outcome OP. I think it could benefit the community to learn the reason(s) they provide just for DPs -- if you wish to share them.
