BoA Recon?

I've been lurking on this forum for a long time and 'be finally hit a roadblock. I currently have 2bank cards, Cap 1 quicksilver1 and the secured, a store card with comeity and a genisis line of credit. My highest limit is with Genesis at 4,000 and my Cap 1 cards are at 700. I was "preselected" for the boa 1-2-3 card and immediately apples because I want to get in with them and was denied. I received my decline letter and it states that I have:
Too many inquires in 12 months( I have 8 on EX)
Length of time of established credit
Revolving accounts too high
Lack of installment loan

My question is...should I cut my losses and try not to recon or should I go for it and if I do what should my approach be?
Currently my EX score is 650 and my uti is standing at 22%. I'm riding out my interest free for both my genisis and qs1 card. My income stands at about 37k not including any bonuses and wage increases for this year. Thanks for the suggestions

Boa is good on recons but I think the mixture
Of utilization and FICO score would be a no.

Re: BoA Recon?

you should always recon as you already took the HP.

with lower limits, i wouldn't take advantage of your 0% cap1 as much and just pay it off if you can as you are hurting yourself from growing your credit further by saving about nothing in anything your money might be earning sitting in savings vs on your 0%.

I'd check into pre-qual for higher tier cap1 cards now though too (venture, Venture 1 combo) would land you probably $20k more in credit and then in 6 months you consolidate all the way to 1 cap1.

Agree. BOA is receptive to listening to one's case for a recon, but your profile still has to support approval. In this case, not sure that will happen.

Re: BoA Recon?

Recon!

I was denied as well for lack of revolving history, but at time of HP my UTL was 1%.  My INQ make anyone but myFico'ers shudder in fear, so that's the only thing I could surmise.

Again, what have to got to lose?  They tell you no? RECON.
