So my mom is eyeing to app for one last card, any card with BoA. I heard BoA mainly pulls EX which is by FAR her cleanest report, her EX is 693 but oddly enough while her EQ and TU have a public record and a closed collection and her EQ is 695 and her TU is 687. She was able to get approved for these cards: Marriott 22k, CSP 22k, Discover it 14.5k, Arrival+ 3.5k (which is pretty normal SL for Barclays), and the Venture is still pending.
There is some derog stuff on her EX report: A wells fargo home equity loan that was settled about 5 years ago, some 30 day lates on the morgage from about 6 years ago, a 30 day late on her Kohls charge about 5 years ago, and a charge off from their old bank account that is paid from 2 1/5 years ago. No public records on EX and no collections on EX.
So if anyone else needs more info please ask and thank you all so much again.
Anyone?
Why BoA in particular?
She does have 12 INQ on her EX, 6 of which are in the last year (9 of the INQ are from car dealerships, fu very much). And her Barclay's card and Discover card are already on her EX rep.
And she wants to establish a relationship with them, shes going to be moving her banking there also.
I wouldnt. Let her move her banking there first. Then app for BBR. Or take a risk with her highish inquiries and see what happens. BBR is the way to go along with a TR as the bonus is up to $200. Easy $320 the first year, and $120 the next year. PC to cash rewards if you dont want the 1.65+% back...
