Re: Waiting on BofA CLI decision, is that a no?

If any counter offers are made, those can still take some time if an instant decision could not be made.  If your limit does not change in about ~72 hours (give or take), then the request was likely not approved.

Ok I'm glad there is still a chance. Fingers f'n crossed up

Their underwriters work east coast business hours.  If there is an approval you normally get a congratulations email and within 15 minutes your updated CL should be visible online.

Well I called in about 12:45pm EST whatever that's worth. If it gets denied is there any way to recon or is it best to just wait another 3mo and try again?

I just got the denial email on my CLI. I'll update when I get the letter in the mail with the reasoning.  Bummer

Got the letter. They SP TU8 776. Reasons for denial were:

- recent credit line change on one or more accounts (4/21 on other BOA card)

- no installment loans

- revolving credit not established for a sufficient length of time

- time since most recent account opening

Re: Waiting on BofA CLI decision, is that a no?

@Eyepinpools   Looks like the most probable reason was for the recent CLI on your other card ($2400 --> $7000). That's what I mentioned about spreading out your CLI's with a single lender. (6 months has always felt like a good standard to me to wait between actions) And I would imagine your request was a bit aggressive given the other denial reasons, no open installment loans with BoA, and a fairly new CC account with them.  I would just let some more time pass, give it another 6 months, get that Gold status you mentioned and do more banking with them, and they should warm up to you a bit more.

Sorry about the denial Smiley Sad

Re: Waiting on BofA CLI decision, is that a no?

It's all good. I figured I would test the waters with that card as I wait to do one on my CR (put the majority of my spending on that account) after I reach gold status.

thanks again for everyone's input.
