Hi,
ok, so after months of going back and forth I'm finally just about ready to apply for a BofA cash rewards. My last few questions are:
1) does being an au on a BofA cc count as a relationship with them?
2) i know they primarily pull EX but what version?
3) my scores on EX are:
version 8 -CC 738; 764 fico 3; 807 fico bankcard score 2
4) two 90 day lates on 8 student loan accounts -only one shows up on EX
5) the rest of my file is good; nothing crazy as far as inquiries or new cards; i have decent income; low dti; low credit utilization;
before I pull the trigger, please help me with the above. Thanks!
Being an authorized user helped me obtain my own BoA card years ago. My now ex was speaking to CS and asked if I could have my own independent of her card. The rep said yes and I received my own card.

@Anonymous Are you saying that you received yours without applying and without a hard pull?
Thanks @Anonymous . The only thing i can do is try, just wanting to maximize my odds for success before pulling the trigger.
BoA pulls FICO 8, as you commented they usually pull EX but occasionally hard pull TU for new applications. My last HP from them was from TU.
They will factor in the # of inquiries on your report but they aren't inherently sensitive to them.
@coldfusion Thanks! I've heard they want a 750 which, I'm not at. I'm also thinking about my 90 day late on 8 student loan accounts (falls off 2021). Regardless, I'll let everyone know for added data points. Hoping to apply one day this week. Will update with results.
They'll approve a CR card at less than 750.
BoA looks beyond FICO scores. As a contrarian example their Preferred Rewards card is fairly hard to get and many applicants with 800+ FICO scores get denials.
Lol...yes I've seen the threads with the 800+ being denied. Kinda unbelievable to me, but hey, BofA can do what they want.

Just don't try to correlate those data with you applying for a CR.

I know I didn't fill out an online or written app. I remember very briefly talking to the rep confirming name and SS#. Back then I seldom pulled my CR. Cannot state if there was a HP or not. I remember my ex telling the rep I had good credit and other cards.
