Last night I decided to request another CLI after 3 months from the last one. I wouldn't have but they have sent me pre-approvals for all four of their BofA branded products. And they sent me transfer checks, with a 12 months 0% APR promotional period.
I'm planning on buying a scooter real soon so those checks are very, very tempting. But if I use a check for $2k, it'll put my UTIL around 45%.
So, I figured I'd give myself a UTIL cushion, go big on the CLI request 20k, get a counter offer, maybe get $7.5k total up from the $5k it is now. Should be easy as pie.
Nope. Got the dreaded 5 to 7 day message.
Oh, the crazy games they play.
Vent off.
Hope it's a favorable outcome.

Thanks!
Hey! Does anyone know that now I have suffered a HP with BofA, if I can harass the LUV button for the next 30 days without another HP?
haha!
Good luck!
It's ok, just wait 3 more months and try again. Good luck!
Yeah. They declined my request.
Reason: There have been too many recents requests on this account.
Got an increase in October. Funny though. I got a pre-approval from them for another card in the mail the same day.
Oh well. Whatevz...

Call an analyst right now and tell them your situation.
Don't listen to whatever the computer said. They have much more leverage to look at everything manually and make their own decision and essentially override what the computer tried to tell you. So many reasons why BoA is quickly becoming one of my favorites when it comes to the prime lenders.
