Contact EO for CLI on your old MC.
Scowered this site until I found the number to the EO. Called and was told my account looks good and that they will get back to me within 3 - 5 business days by mail, I asked to get it via email and was told he may be able to or will call me when he knows something. Of course they asked for info like income, etc. Keeping my fingers crossed. I LOVE this site, learning so much about credit in such a short time. THANKS AGAIN!! Will post the update.

It seems that you are one of those few and far between that people shake their heads about and say, "how'd that happen?" Geting denied by Discover is probably the truer reality for you credit wise right now? I'd offer the advice that others are conveying that you should wait. Having a 3k limit with the card that you were approved for is a big step based upon what you've said in regards to your profile? Just let the card begin to age and watch your score increase over the next few months.
I made the mistake of thinking as you did after I got approved for the QS1 card.
I didn't apply for Discover because I know, I'll get denied as I am still in the rebuilding phase. It's an old closed account I'm almost done paying off. If I knew back then what I know today, I would have kept it open
. Oh well, I know better now.
And you're right, I am not sure how CAP1 gave me a card with 3K limit in the midst of my baddies, etc LOL. I will trash the offer, but I did call the EO to ask for the CLI on my old CAP1 platinum card. Let's see what happens.
