CHASE AMAZON CREDIT CARD

I just applied for the Chase Amazon card 3 days ago because I have a new baby and a number of supplies to buy and decided to just app for the Chase Amazon card to get the extra points and use it for all the shopping I do on Amazon.  The first 2 days they said the app was "Pending" and I called today and they said that the app was "In Review".  All 3 calls that I've made I keep getting the scripted "you will be notified of a decision by mail in the next 30 days".  

How long does it take to get approved for Chase Amazon card?  It seems like a much lower end card.  I wonder why the process is so extensive for this card.  I've alwasy been instantly approved for cards and 1 time it took 24 hours to get an approval.

Processing times can vary - there is no exact timeframe.  Some reviews can take 2 weeks or longer while others can be completed within 3-5 days.  It just depends what caused the exception for your application to be reviewed.  Not everything can be instantaneous.  Most of my Chase online apps typically yield the 7-10 day message and tend to be approved within a reasonable timeframe.  In my experience though, I do not call and simply wait things out unless they contact me requesting additional information.

Listen to Finstar and wait it out.  If they call you for verification, provide the information.  I just recently got 4 cards from Chase and 3 of the 4 were approved the very next day after the application.  However, I had one that took several days.  The waiting is crazy, but I think it's best to wait for Chase.

My United Explorer card took about three weeks. I had actually forgotten about them when they called for verificaiton.
