CHASE "the system cannot access your records at this time" message?

I appd for CHASE Freedom on Friday. Got a screen message to call in immediately. Called right away and was told I needed to fax DL and SS for verification -- did that right away. In the meantime rec'd 30 day email. Then called automated line and got 7-10 day message.

This morning the automated message says: "The system cannot access your records at this time. Please call back at a later time."

Has anyone else had this message?

My cousin text me yesterday that he got that message after her applied for a freedom. Probably just maintenance.

I think that's it. It's back to the 7-10 day message again.

Have you recently applied for many Chase cards?  I applied for 6-7 chase cards within a 2 month period (all approved) and then I started getting this message.  I think this was the prompt for manual reviews (in my case anway).  The denials started rolling in after manual reviews for me.  Hopefully this is not the case for you though.

UPDATE: Just called the recon line and super nice fellow checked things out for me -- the docs are still not uploaded to the system but he told me to call back on Wednesday.

I thought lending department was only open M-F?, I'm leaning towards an approval if they need to just verify identity Smiley Happy!

I'm thinking the same, if it's just to verify, it sounds promising. Although, you never know with the 7-10 day deal.
