On advice from some you guys, went to some pre-equal sites but when I got to CHASE and uploaded the info, got back ..."due to you opting out, no offers are available" !
Never recall ever.. "opting out " with or anyone else ! Get offers from Cap 1, but I'm thinking I signed up for the "Do Not Call" list, which last for 5 yrs and wonder if this part of that ?
Anyway, was wondering if I should go there, opt BACK IN...as it say "you may receive offers from CC ..." ? Its all at the same registry so, I just don't understand how I opt out ! Beats me !
I've never read this here, anyone had this or suggestions?

A lot of people receive that message when they check for offers. Sometimes it means that you just don't have any offers or that you already have Chase cards. If you don't recall opting out then more than likely you never did as it requires you taking that action. And if you are getting offers from CapOne then you didn't opt out.
The do not call list has nothing to do with credit card offers.
Got it !
Working on 20 + yr history credit file with no inquiries, no current revolving cards, 3 closed, OK CC we closed back in the recession, good history on 2 bank loans and looking for something to move the file along. Its just setting there, no activity to improve, IF..we ever need the higher scores and some revolving accounts (2-3).
Just never or wasn't aware of such a statement by them when we never opted out to begin with.
Thanks !!

I'm sure you wouldn't have any issues getting approved if your scores are decent and you don't have any or many 'baddies' on your file. I know pre qualification sites are good but in no way are they a true indicator of whether you'll be approved or not. Some are close but no guarantee and more importantly just because you aren't prequalified does not mean that you won't be approved. If you look at the cards in my signature - not one of them was I ever pre approved for. Just gave to research credit requirement and apply if you meet or exceed them. Good luck as you move ahead.
TU -0 baddies, Eq - pd Judgement and pd medical that I'm working on getting both off, EX - same pd medical that was pd to the OC who was supposed to have had it recalled from this collector.
Nothing else, no collections, no inquiries no other derogs.!
Just haven't had, nor applied for credit in yrs. That hurts as bad as anything, it seems ! Just a good, long history with no lates on any loans or on any closed CC's.
Got a communication from Cap 1 yesterday stating they had looked at our profile and thought that due to it, the QuickSilver would be just perfect for us, extended an "offer" to apply !
Now, I'm not smart enough to figure out if this is just an..offer to apply ...then see OR, its a prequal type offer since they said they thought the profile fit...!
On another note, I contacted the OC of the 1 medical baddie on the reports who was pd in full before it hit the reports by the CA. They said they would contact the CA and have it recalled..immediately.
