yeah..dont fall for these sites.
i knew better but i still fell for it this morning.
when checking my fico scores this morning on my experian account, the chase freedom popped up for the first time with a 99% match due to my score going up.
got all excited and common sense flew out the window.
seeing that my fico went up to 747 with no lates, collections, or derogs. and util at 9%, i cold apped.
instant denial.
better off trusting the prequal sites from amex, citi, cap one, discover, or chase.
higher approval rate if anything pops up there.

Never. It's not. (with a small amount of practice you can learn to not even see it there

Haha yeah. I just looked at CK Top Picks For You. Listed Capital One Platinum, Capital One QS1, WF Platinum, Credit One Platinum! ![]()

What's interesting, for me anyway, is that when logged into EX the CC offers page come up as "unavailable in your State".
Yet when I log out all the top contenders show up! lol
i decided to log back on my experian account.
went to check my matches and the chase card that i had 99% match is no longer even listed on there.
i got set up for that denial!! hahaha

Have you matched your open accounts with which cards they actually are ok CK? That might change the metrics for Top Picks for you if so...
Mine have been matched and offers are Propel, Blue Cash Everyday, Savor etc...

Sadly all my cards are matched on CK. Their recommendation tool is just very bad. Especially for a FAKO score of 770. ![]()

As @AverageJoesCredit pointed out in a different thread a couple weeks ago, CK monitors EQ and TU, and Amex pulls EX almost exclusively. How the heck would they know you're pre-qualed for Amex?
Uneducated guess? Or it could simply be an extrapolation of data based the info you have in your file.
As most people have stated, anyone with a pulse can get a Charge card with them now days. Depending on what's in your file a 640 score will get you almost any card.

Which just goes to underscore the fact that their "prequalifications" are akin to throwing darts at a wall, with as much chance and less accuracy.
I wouldn't trust it. They are just advertising for the credit card companies to get folks to apply.
