Hopefully you will have a better outcome than me. I did the same thing for about 4 months straight yet here it is 10 months later and I'm stuck at $2k(no CLI). I've given up as the other OP stated and now i'm just using my other cards (heavily) especially in the upcoming months.
when you requested cli online, did they hp?
Sorry to hear about your denial. Two years ago Barclay gave me an initial CL of $7,500. Since then, I've always PIF, rarely used it (auto pay of $75 a month), and recently bit on a 0% APR balance transfer check. Transfered AMEX balance of $6,898.00. Next, hit the CLI button - received the same message as you - then called recon. No answer (Sunday), but they returned my call - someone did - hours later Sunday evening. Told them I wanted to transfer a balance and they honored my request of $7,000 CLI. So, total $14,000 limit.
I instructed the lady I COULD pay the balance in full, however I wanted to build a relationship with Barclay. I asked her if she had any suggestions for me and she kindly suggested PIF or make payments significantly higher than the minimum.
Hope that helps. . .
My only regret is having the NFL card. . . Too scared to app for any other Barclay products.

you can apply for another barclay card, and once you're approved, you can move your NFL card credit limit to the new card.
Thanks for sharing about your Barclay experience. I'm still looking forward to my 1st auto CLI from them.

Problem is, my high balance is 2000/7500. I still have lots of sufficient credit in their eyes. So i doubt a CLI is coming

Has to be a record for getting a CLI out of Barclay's.. 92% UTL!

I'm not sure. I called Barclay for manual review one business day after my online CLI request. I noitced a hard pull, but they probably did a hard pull during manual review.

@Legal_Girl wrote:Their APRs are just ridiculous.. Maybe people would use more of their credit limits if the % rate wasn't so high. Some months I pay all my cards off and some months I pay some of them off and some months I don't owe anything on any of them. Barclay is NOT a good one to not pay off monthly. But they definitely like to see balances in order to get a CLI.. Gee that may be why I haven't gotten one lately.
If you can PC to another card that will have a 0% for 12 to 15 months, go get 'em.
For the majority of people whose credit profiles are not considred mid to top tier by Barclay's, sure. Yet I use my 3 Barclays CCs very frequently. Plus all of them have fairly low APRs and decent CLs but I PIFand I don't revolve balances.
I think it's more the fact that the APR's range from ~13% to 25%.
This is a pretty drastic range.
