CLI Question

I'm looking to get a CLI with BoA on a card I have had $1,000 limit with for some time. I've never asked for one before, but yesterday I got two Chase cards with CL of $12,000. Should I wait till they report on credit before asking for the CLI, or does it not matter?

I would ask now. But we need more stats, income (rounded), scores, other cards. Those stats help us help you.

definitely let them report. if they show you have that high of a limit maybe b of a will try to at least meet half way

This^^^^.. Let the new limits report before going for a CLI so that they can match your current limits.

Is the limit matching thing true? Do certain lenders have a tendency to do that? Just curious. Don't mean to steal OPs thread.

certain lenders will match or close to it. not to say all will, but new apps will come close or try to beat it depending on their level of being conservative.

it also depends on your profile and their relationship with you. certain ones (depends of course) will match what you have. idk exactly who but most will.

I would let them report because Bank of America like to be top dog sometimes but since your Chase cards are new they may not give you as much since you have no history with those limits yet.
