With Wells Fargo and Capital one I'm curious when you don't get an immediate CLI approval, has anyone ever gotten that approval in the documents they say they are sending?
My experience has always been if you are approved for a CLI its immediate and if you are denied then you'll get that notice in the mail. But instead of denying you on the spot they always say they are reviewing your information and let you know in 7 to 10 days. Which gives the impression a CLI is still possible. So was curious if anyone has ever gotten that increase notice through the mail?
Can't say that I ever have. My experience mirrors yours for Cap1 so far. Never had a WF card so can't comment there.
CapOne was giving out CLI's like candy a few years ago. Don't *think* I remember many non-instant approvals. As for Wells, I don't remember anything positive except the occasional approval, however the buzz is pretty lackluster on them. And I bank with Wells for one of my businesses. No credit products tho.

Capital one has been answered.
As Far as Wells Fargo,
They will tell you if approved, and it will reflect in your available credit upon log-in almost immediately. IME
If they tell you a letter is coming, expect the dreaded denial.
