I pressed the LUV button after receiving the Wayfair card and I also waiting a month before calling the customer service number and asking for the CLI and got the message below both times... Can anybody tell me what it means?
"...... Unfortunately, because your credit history with other credit grantors could not be obtained we are unwilling to increase the credit limit on your account at this time "
They used Equifax to obtain the information.
any help would be great. I am not sure how to fix the issue .
You waited a whole month? With a very few exceptions, lenders don't increase credit limits right off the bat - some like Lowes (Sync backed) will give an increase with a recon call, and your results will vary on other store cards like Home Depot (Citi backed). If you really "need" the CLI for a purchase especially on a store card, it's best to do that in the store with the card in hand and let the store do the request, of course then you'll end up with a maxed out card but you can fix that.
This is a Comenity card if you push them they've been known to shut your cards down. At the very least try to stay under their radar and frankly I would not ask for a CLI for at least 6 months. If you like the card and want the card, go slow as this is a very nervous lender.
Add: Sounds like they were trying to do another hard pull and the CRA's file is locked (a lot of times you'll get random reasons that have very little to do with anything).
In my experience (what little I have lol) Comenity is one of the ones that do CLIs early in the game, I have gotten 3 in 3 months with Wayfair, but did stop because I know how skittish then can get.

You know better than me since I won't have anything to do with them today, but I still think if you push the button right after you are approved and they say NO, it might be best especially with Comenity to wait 3 months.

... I don’t use my overstock or wayfair card at all besides making 1 small $60 purchase on each when I got em. Since then they have increased my overstock card from $250 (yes 250 dollars lol) to $1,850 and my wayfair from $700 to $2,350 ...
Very interesting. Would you expand on this -- how long from cards issue date, amounts, your credit scores? Were they auto-CLI, or did you hit the luv button? More info would be great.
Just give it a few months, 4-6, before hitting the luv button again. From the many threads on here, they are skittish. I use my cards from them asn so do my DW. I went from 750-4050 on wayfair and overstock. I havent hit the button in about 6 months as I have enough limits.
I tend to hit the LUV button for Wayfair like it's my job.
I've had the card for about a year now and it's quickly grown from $500 to $7800 in that time frame. It is my only Comenity account since Sync took over the PayPal credit line.

How many increases have you gotten? How long do you wait after a decline before trying again?
I also have an overstock card that started at $250 in Sept '17. February went to $4250 June went to $7500
