CLI for Discover it

I had my Discover it for 3 months now with a credit limit of $1,250. Should I wait a little bit longer to request a CLI or is now the right time? How much should I ask for when requesting a CLI? I thought I read that they usually automatically increase the credit limit after 3 months.

Also, how does my Amex PRG effect my utilization of my overall credit limit? Does the PRG even have a utilization since it has a NPSL?

I would say just give it a shot. Discover gives a warning if a hp is needed, in my experience with it and from research here they could do a sp cli of up to a $4k. You may also try the phone option if it's available, if unable it will transfer you to a rep in which you could just hang up.

Do you mean $2,500? Or did you only request a $250 increase? Should I try to request $2,500 (double) or more/less?

NO i meant 250....limit was 500, i requested 3k average available on other accounts was 4k utilization was 2%   their card will never get used for anything more than a cup of coffee

Wow, that's very surprising. I don't understand why they wouldn't give you more if your account was in good standing. I will just try it and see what happens

I tried $1,750 (from $1,250) and it didn't go through. I didn't agree to do the hardpull. I guess I will have to wait a little bit longer.
