Got a chase cc that's been 6 months and I would like to ask for CLI, I only have this card for 6 months and I pretty much just use this card and would like to get as high CLI as possible. (Got other 2, 3 cards that I can ask for CLI too, and those cards got longer history than just 6 months). So my question is should I ask for CLI on other cards first since they are older cards? and should I wait a few days then ask for CLI on chase? thanks for the help. also the other cards are discover, am ex. (CLI they are all soft pulls right? and ask them via website for 50% increase of current limit?)

Go to discover and ask for CLI, they will tell you if a HP is needed, so you can cancel the request, I always cancel because I don't want a HP for CLI, sometimes they only give $500 with HP so don't want to risk it. You don't ask for new amount, they will tell you how much you can get and give you a slider to get a lower limit than what they approved.
For Amex you need to be eligible, have you asked for a CLI before? If not, go to the site and request a CLI 3X your limit (if you have 2k ask for 6k). If you got a CLI before, then you have to wait 180 days until you are eligible again, if they denied the request you can be eligible to ask again after 90 days. It is SP.
I don't recommend asking for a CLI with Chase, it will be HP and they can deny you or only give you $500, but if you app for another Chase card, you can get a bigger limit that you can transfer some to your current card. Sometimes they give auto-cli after 5-7 statements.
Good luck and report back.
I see so some card it's soft pull some it's hard pull, am ex is soft rest is HP. wow good thing I asked before asking for CLI, I was going to ask for all CLI and apply for another creidit card, that would be 3 hard pulls!....3 HP in 1 month is bad right? how often can you do hard pull without hurting your credit too much? I got really good credit score.
yeah I asked for CLI for discover and am ex 6 months ago. so for chase it's better to apply for a new card than ask for CLI? also depends on your situation I guess?
so if I still decide to ask for CLI for chase, (all my credit limit are around the same and if I want as high CLI as possbile, does it matter if I ask for CLI for discover and am ex first since I have been with them for 15 years, vs asking chase first and I only been with them 6 months)

Discover can be SP, if they need to get 'more information' for your request, they will tell you that and you need to authorize the HP, so ahead and request it, if they don't approve, then you can cancel the request before they do a HP. There are people getting Discover SP CLI every 16 days for the last 2 months.
HP drop after 2 years, how much they hurt depends on each person profile, util, payment, cards reported, AAoA, and other factors.
For most people, they got a card with a bigger limit than CLI. Some people get only $500 or denial, then apply for a Hotel/Airline Chase card and get 5-15K limits.
It doesn't matter if you ask CLI on one card first or other.
